We were very lucky to find Willi and his team. We only had a general idea of what we wanted done to the yard and Willi gave us some great ideas. He provided renderings of the yard and made changes to suit us. He is very responsive and takes pride in his work. He and his team were onsite promptly every morning and worked very hard to complete the work on schedule. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Willi.

My husband and I hired A.V Greenacres to clean out our flower beds, they were full of weeds and small rocks. We contacted A V GreenScape, Willie from A V. came to our house later the same day. We discussed what we wanted done and how quickly we wanted them to start. The crew started the morning, it rained all day but the crew through the rain. They did a fantastic job!! We would hire them again. Thank you, Willie, you and your crew are awesome!!

Thanks Willi and his team, they did an excellent job with the hardscape. They created a completely free 3D design so I could see the work they wanted to do. They built a retaining wall and a completely renovated patio on my property in Edmonds.

I’m extremely happy with the paver driveway installation and the wooden fence AV RenewPressure & GreenScape Designs built for my property. The driveway looks clean, modern, and very well compacted. The fence is sturdy and perfectly aligned. Great communication, fair pricing, and excellent craftsmanship. If you need hardscape, paver patios, driveways, or fence construction, this is the team to hire!

Willy did an outstanding job with our yard cleanup after a recent heavy windstorm! He and his team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed everything exactly as requested. He also hauled all the yard debris to the waste center and kept me updated throughout the process, which I really appreciated. Great communication, reliable, and professional — I’d definitely hire him again. Thank you!

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Landscaping in Newcastle

Get straightforward answers to common questions about yard drainage, retaining wall permits, and our design-build process across Newcastle and King County.

Yes. High-end landscape architecture and functional outdoor living spaces consistently return 70% to 100%+ of their cost at resale in the Puget Sound market. In neighborhoods like Ballard, Queen Anne, Bellevue, and Kirkland, outdoor kitchens, covered entertaining spaces, and engineered retaining walls effectively expand your home’s usable square footage for four seasons, giving your listing a major competitive advantage.

Yes, depending on height and slope. In Newcastle and King County, retaining walls over 4 feet tall or any construction in designated Environmentally Critical Areas (ECA)—such as steep slope or slide hazard zones—require city engineering reviews and permits. AV GreenScape Designs manages the entire permitting, grading plan, and compliance process directly with the city.

Heavy rainfall paired with Newcastle’s dense glacial till and clay soils makes drainage our foundation. Every hardscape includes deep excavation, compacted aggregate sub-bases, and permeable joints. Depending on your lot’s topography, we integrate French drains, catch basins, bioswales, and rain gardens to intercept surface runoff and safely divert water away from your foundation and living spaces.
